Simple Butterfly Card

My inspiration for my card is the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Soft Sea Foam, Cloud Cover and Misty Moonlight. I used Last Chance Beautiful Butterflies stamp set and retired Stampin’ Up! beautiful butterflies hybrid embossing folder. The card is very simple and created with the butterfly die cuts.

The large embossed butterfly was die cut from Cloud Cover card stock and the large die cut butterfly was die cut from Soft Sea Foam. The sentiment ‘hello’ was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink. The card I embellished with clear rhinestones.

Sweet Blooms

This week’ color color challenge of Strawberry Slush, Flirty Flamingo and Bubble Bath at Hand Stamped Sentiments inspired me to create this card with the Floral in Blooms Suite Collection. The flowers are each of the challenge colors, the foliage is die cut from silver foil and the white background is embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. The word bloom is die cut from Flirty Flamingo and Bubble Bath. The sentiment ‘where you’re planted’ is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black. For some added sparkle I used Basic Rhinestones.

Notes & Totes bundle

My card this week is inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments inspiration challenge. So many wonderful images to inspire. I was inspired by the tote in this image. I used the Notes & Totes bundle to create this card.

I started with a Basic Black card base then a layer of Basic White then another layer of Basic White embossed with Lovely Striped Embossing Folder. Layered on top is another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock, which I colored with a Blending Brush and a Timid Tiger Classic Stampin’ Pad. I also tore off the bottom right edge of the cardstock,.

To create the tote, I used the Notes & Totes Dies, along with the Natural Hues Textured Specialty Designer Series Paper. I stamped the flower with Memento Black ink using the stamp from the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set. The little sunglasses were cut out from a Silver Foil Sheet and Mixed Media Florals DSP using the Notes & Totes dies.. The little scarf on the purse was also cut out from the Florals in Bloom DSP, using another die from the Notes & Totes Bundle.

I used no sentiment on this card. However, this card can be used for any occasion.

A Nature Walk

Elegant Pine Snowflakes card

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiment is an inspiration challenge perfect for this holiday season. I was inspired by the snowflakes so I created a card with the Delicate PInes Bundles. Unconventional but I stamped the snowflakes in Real Red. The card is a single layer card and stamped the snowflakes in Real Red. The larger snowflakes are stamped with Real Red then die cut. The card I then embellished with Faceted Snowflakes.

Delicate Pines Gathering Leaves Christmas Card

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge inspired me to create this card with the Delicate Pines bundle. I love this Stampin’ Up! Delicate Pines stamp set and coordinating dies. You can create beautiful elegant Christmas cards with this bundle.

I used Shaded Spruce for the card base, Season of Elegance DSP, Basic white card stock layer embossed with Gathering Leaves Embossing folder. The snow flake shapes were die cut from the Elegant Pines DSP. The foliage shapes were die cut using the Delicate Pines dies. I used a large gold hoop as a base for snow flake shapes and foliage. The sentiments is embellished with GOLD STRIPED 3/8″ (1 CM) MESH RIBBON. The sentiment and foliage stamps are from the Delicate Pines stamp set and stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.

Gathering Together and Thankful for You

This week’s inspiration comes from the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration challenge. The inspiration challenge images are totally fall. So many great images to inspire a fall or Halloween card. I was inspired to create a fall card with the Gathering Together Suite Collection. I love this suite! I love the images and the large leaf dies. Here’s the card I created.

The card base is Basic Beige and the embossed Gathering Leaves layer is also Basic Beige. The Gathering Together is die cut with the Perennial Postage dies, the large leaf from retired Bronze foil. You can substitute the current ‘Earthen Toned’ foil sheets. The sentiment was also die cut from the Perennial Postage dies and stamped with the Gathering Moments sentiment. I also stamped the plaid and dots background with Crushed Curry and Peach Pie. I embossed with Old Olive and Early Espresso Linen Thread. I also used the Cajun Craze and Gold Dots to add sparkle.

Beautiful Pumpkins say Thankful for the Small Things

Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge calls for so many options I decided to use stamp set Beautiful Pumpkins. This card is CASED from the online card samples. I love the pumpkin dies, images and sentiments. I used the dies to cut out the gold and beige pumpkin from the SEASON OF ELEGANCE 12″ X 12″ (30.5 X 30.5 CM) SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER, the leaves and stem from gold foil. The card base is Basic Beige and the leaves stamped with Basic Beige classic ink. The brown wood background and banner is from the DSP is from the COUNTRY WOODS 12″ X 12″ (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. The sentiment is stamped on Basic Beige with Early Espresso classic ink and the card is embellished with gold Flower Accents.

Gathering Moments and Thankful for You

Fall is coming! However here where I live it’s still in the 90’s but I can still hope for cool mornings. To further get in the fall mood I recently purchased the Gathering Together Suite Collection. I love the large leaf dies and the stamp set. The color challenge of Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger and Pretty Peacock at Hand Stamped Sentiments was perfect for creating a fall card.

The card base is Pretty Peacock, the next layer is also Pretty Peacock and embossed with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder. The large leaf is die cut from Timid Tiger. I connected the holes with a Timid Tiger Stampin’ Write Marker then sponged the edge with Timid Tiger. The smaller leaves are stamped in Darling Duckling and Pretty Peacock on Basic Beige and die cut. The sentiment is stamped with Pretty Peacock Classic Ink on Basic Beige and die cut with a die from the Inspiring Imperfections Dies. To add a touch of sparkle I finished with linen thread and Basic Rhinestones.

Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder Thank You Card

It’s September and Fall is coming! The challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a fall inspiration challenge. I recently received the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder and had to create this card. I used the carved wood technique from Jennifer Roque. Watch her video for this easy technique. So many color possibilities with this technique.

I used Crushed Curry for the card base and Very Vanilla for the embossed layer. However, I used the debossed side to color. The colors of Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Early Espresso were used to create the background then with sponge daubers used Crushed Curry to color the petals, Pumpkin Pie for the centers and Spruced Green for the leaves. The sentiment was stamped from the Autumn Leaves stamp set which is now retired. I embellished with linen thread and gold Flower Accents.
